The baker's almanac

17 October 2026

Every day the workshop has a different page. Drop by, read, leave your stamp.

The proverb

“Those who have bread have no teeth; those who have teeth have no bread.”

Today's gesture (two minutes)

Say the salt percentage of bread by heart: 2 in 100. Know it, and you'll never get a loaf wrong.

The workshop never closes and doesn't count against you: skip a day and the stamp waits. Seven stamps, one medal.

The bread of the week

Choose the day and time you want to knead every week: the reminder goes into your phone's calendar, no notifications from the site.

The letter to the baker you'll be

Write two lines to who you'll be in a year: which bread you want to master, for whom, what scares you today. The letter seals itself and reopens on the day you choose. Only you will read it.

Stamps and reminders stay on your phone. Twenty-four proverbs, twenty gestures, twenty-three feasts: come back and they'll be different.

Recipes are of two kinds: those checked or tested by Michele and the drafts written by Sitor, Michele's AI avatar: an artificial intelligence based on Anthropic models. Each recipe clearly states which kind it is.
